Database storage for notes is a non-starter for me.
You can get used Yokogawa AXF water meters pretty cheap on eBay. They’ll put out a 4-20mA signal and as long as you get the right version for your local power you can just wire a cord to it and plug it into the wall. Only measure flow and I think temperature though.
I’ve always just used Mediainfo.
+1 for Navidrome and any *sonic client. Been using this setup with Wireguard for years.

Definitely all search engines are getting worse. They all use one algorithm or another to find results, and advertisers are quick to obtain that algorithm and exploit it.
