‘They’ has always existed in the English language as plural or singular, context dependent. Hence it’s natural transition into a pronoun. Non-native English speakers can be excused for using gendered pronouns because the problem isn’t them not knowing and using it in the first place, it’s them refusing to update the language after a reasonable explanation to do so.
People are brigading, sure, but it’s such a simple change to make, one that only helps the world. So, yeah, fuck the devs honestly. Just accept the PR and move on, there was no need for any of this.
Then here’s hoping they don’t make the same mistakes with the Nexus app!
It seems alright, until you use almost any other mod manager, then you wonder why Vortex is so clunky. It works fine for simple modding, but once you want to adjust load orders its annoying af. The UI is pretty atrocious in places and it takes more clicks than it should to do things. Admittedly I havent used it for a few years, so it might have been updated a lot.
First time I am hearing of this, I hope it’s a lot better than shitty Vortex!
This will be a really cool addition to Steamworks, strange it wasn’t made earlier, but late is better than never.
I suppose they would only find out when the account is still in use after 130 years.
Or if they cared to check payment details and such.

Yeah you are not wrong, but why have a more expensive chip just to throttle it, better to keep the cost of the deck down so more people can afford it.
It depends on efficiency, it’s all good and well having more performance, but if the battery life is only 2 hours it’s useless. I imagine Valve will wait a couple years yet.
I dont think the Ally is better in any regard, raw performance doesn’t really matter when playing on such small screens and isnt worth the tradeoff of other features.
Steam Deck. The touchpads make way more games playable than possible on the Ally. Besides the Steam Deck is a well thought out machine that you’ll get great support for, rather than an attempt to jump on a trend for a quick cash grab.
Exactly, there’s valid complaints, but they are clutching at straws and just lying in their comment.
That would be a great addition, I could use it as a history of my hikes then!
What’s the scope of this, just a route catalogue or will it sort of become a hiking tracker as well?
Yea, fair enough trade off though!
Being able to play a game simultaenously is insane news!
Yeah, but we are well passed that.
Some games now restrict certain legitimate programs in the name of “anti cheat”, which is stepping well over the line. Kernel level AC needs to go aswell. Server side AC and ML is the proper path we should be taking instead of adding attack vectors, privacy invading software to our PCs.
There’s other solutions that can be developed to minimise cheater impact in games, such as trust factor from Valve. We are never going to get rid of cheaters, people are scum, but we can try to minimise their impact.
Valve are very mouth shut about AC, which is for the best. They also have trust factor, which is a rating given to your account based on many factors across Steam, to try and predict if you are trustworthy, so it will match you with other trusted accounts.
They will come with any bullshit argument to try and defend their anti-human opinions.
