Thanks a lot! How many split-screen players are allowed? Only two, or does it go up to 4?
Thanks! Second time I see it recommended, I’m definitely getting this one.
Dude…I knew/had only a few in this list. And most of the rest look amazing. This is a long list of very promising games, thanks so much!

iturnedintoanewt@lemm.eeto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Alternatives to Roku/AppleTV for Jellyfin ClientEnglish1·4 days agoWithout having tried it, I know it has an Android TV version. I’m not sure what part isn’t user-friendly, as usually that part comes from deciding to go away without most of google oriented services. I installed FLauncher before, and it did its job quite nicely, but haven’t tried LOS, or how it would perform in a TV. For my very specific use case, I need Flauncher to open either Jellyfin or Smarttube. For these purposes the Nvidia could work. But I havent gottent into it yet, and I’m still waiting for better options.

iturnedintoanewt@lemm.eeto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Alternatives to Roku/AppleTV for Jellyfin ClientEnglish1·4 days agoSorry… I meant from the perspective that you could/should install LOS on it. I think that’s about the only device allowing it, these days.

iturnedintoanewt@lemm.eeOPto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Can I create/spin LXC with virt-manager or something similar?English2·22 days agoThank you for the information! Since Proxmox does this by itself with those templates it uses, I never did this process. I guess I’ll check some guide…thanks a lot!
iturnedintoanewt@lemm.eeOPto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Can I create/spin LXC with virt-manager or something similar?English2·22 days agoYup! I got that far. But when I try to create a new VM/container using LXC instead, I’m prompted for an URI. i have no idea what I’m supposed to enter there. In Proxmox it just downloads the templates itself from its own repository, but i have no idea what I’m supposed to input here. I didn’t find any guide about this :(
iturnedintoanewt@lemm.eeOPto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Can I create/spin LXC with virt-manager or something similar?English2·23 days agoThanks…The first one might actually be a normal GUI. However I don’t see a way to compile it for non-debian (I’m running Nobara, which is Fedora-based). The second one is definitely a webUI.
iturnedintoanewt@lemm.eeOPto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Can I create/spin LXC with virt-manager or something similar?English2·23 days agoYeah…So far I managed to connect virt-manager to the LXC daemon after a few attempts, but I’m a bit stuck now. In order to create a new LXC container it asks for an URI and I don’t know which one should I put.
iturnedintoanewt@lemm.eeOPto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Can I create/spin LXC with virt-manager or something similar?English2·23 days agoThanks…That’s my fault. I guess I wanted to mention I was looking for a GUI-like way of doing it. Same way virt-manager does. It handles libvirt in the background, but I guess a nice more intuitive manner of following a process to create a VM. I wanted to see if I can do something similar for a container.
iturnedintoanewt@lemm.eeOPto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Can I create/spin LXC with virt-manager or something similar?English2·23 days agoThanks! I was hoping it would have its own GUI, not having to run from a webUI…Kinda makes integration with a virtual desktop a bit easier. I’d like to have the equivalent of a virtualbox VM, with desktop etc, but running on a container.
iturnedintoanewt@lemm.eeOPto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Can I create/spin LXC with virt-manager or something similar?English2·23 days agoHmmm I might be open to try. But my idea would be to have the equivalent of a local full blown VM running with its own desktop environment. But on a container. I can do this in proxmox, but I’d like to replicate it locally on my laptop.
iturnedintoanewt@lemm.eeto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•When building a home server, could a used/cheap PC do the job?English1·30 days agoThanks for specifying. You are correct, and that is exactly the CPU I have in my SFF, too.
iturnedintoanewt@lemm.eeto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•When building a home server, could a used/cheap PC do the job?English2·1 month agoMy server is an HP Small Form Factor Corei5 32GB RAM that I bought on a second hand shop. The thing I paid attention the most was the i5’s gen, as some older ones don’t include h265 transcoding acceleration, or sometimes h264. This is rather important for Jellyfin. ANything else, just go with it and try!
iturnedintoanewt@lemm.eeto Piracy: ꜱᴀɪʟ ᴛʜᴇ ʜɪɢʜ ꜱᴇᴀꜱ@lemmy.dbzer0.com•Torrent Galaxy Still AccessibleEnglish3·1 month agoIs there…any alternatives to TorrentGalaxy? I mean, somewhere to check what new movie releases are there, with a picture and IMDB link etc. I mean sure 1337x has the list of latest release, but you have to go clicking individually the links to see what each one’s about. I liked torrentgalaxy’s image navigation and movie grouping (it would attempt at catching a movie ID and put all the releases for that movie under related links).
I mean for split screen I’d be hooking it up to a TV. It’s too tiny for 4 ppl to cram their heads and try to figure what’s going on. Thanks!
