Yeah, it’s bizarre reading people say they want physical games because if it’s not physical steam might remove it. Bro just download it and don’t delete it from your device, steam is offering a re-download service but nothing is stopping users from just downloading the game and keeping it in their disks.

Well, YouTube’s music quality is basically trash but if you are happy with it don’t look for alternatives because you won’t find them. Almost anyone I know that wants a music streaming service would not stand that quality for long though.

Yeah, the prices were around +20€ for normal usage, for each user a month. It was a per call cost and the devs would have to eat it if they didn’t charge the users, so many rightfully jumped ship. Well, that’s not really true isn’t it? I’m not against stealing games from corporate devs, but imagine you decide to get a kick ass printer, those they use in companies. Those printers are usually leased, not bought, and the printer leasing company usually updates and upgrades it every X time. The company pays for the use of the printer, but they don’t own it. The leasing company is very clear in what they are selling you, they are selling you a service. You still need to have a place to store the printer, you still need to pay for the ink used, you still need to have paper, just as a game needs storage space, a gpu and all the periferals.

Imagine if taking a printer from the leasing company makes them lose 0 money in material costs, since this is what happens with digital goods, they still lose money from you being able to use the printer without paying the lease, when you would originally not be able to use it if they didn’t develop it. In that sense, what you stole is their revenue from the lease.

All of this to say that pirating IS stealing, and I still do it proudly. All of this to say, either they let me own it or I’m stealing it.

Because they copy paste the gameplay, in different environments. Like “travelling to the past”. I recall AC being praised for the accurate portrayal of the environments they presented. Idk if that has persisted.

I have never played the game and never will because playing a game where your dude gets into a machine to watch the memories of an antecesor of you who was a kick ass assassin and then playing as the assassin doesn’t really call me, but it did to plenty people.

I have read that the SY devs will now fork from mihon, and that they will develop both I think. No idea about the tachi dev. If that’s the case then I guess that that dev also worked on SY, or they talked or whatever. I’ll keep an eye on the commits and repo.

Actually I prefer if individual users pirating being considere fair use, but corporation pirating not be considered fair use. So them pirating is not fine but us pirating should be.

Hey, I use it more for Korean webcomics than manga, there’s lots of us. And kakao doesn’t really have a leg to stand on with either against tachi, it’s just that the devs don’t want the hassle, which is completely understandable.

Most of not all my mangas are not from mangadex, they are from either scanlators groups or scrappers (who earn no money from me since I don’t see their ads so it’s morally the best option for me).

No idea how CalDav runs, but if it’s a server, it should be able to run generic scripts, no? Once you are running a generic script, writing one that sends emails though smtp should be possible. Idk.

The LG app is jellyfin TV, right? It gives me issues with some formats, the video player is kinda crap honestly, if you try to forward or go back in the video it freezes for some seconds, zero buffering, and the UI is kinda ugly. I use another video payer as a proxy and that solves the ui and some formats, but it still complain on some others and the buffering issue is still there for some reason.

This is quite weird since the android app, which supposedly is just the Web app plugged in through react native, works flawlessly. Instead of adding tv controls to that app they decided to create a new one and it’s really not the best idea.

I hate to say it but this doesn’t happen with emby, the UI is similar but I’m able to see all the formats I own and there’s no issue with forwarding.

My go to is discovering comics outside of tachiyomi and then searching them inside. For most manga that exists on webpages like mangahere or mangakakalot, the first or last page tells you which scanlators did it, and in most cases there’s an extension to their direct webpage. You can then add that extension and migrate the comic.

Also, you can go to settings, browse, and untick the option for +18 content sources. Those extensions should dissappear.
