I have not even begun to fuck with games outside of Steam yet. My backlog of stuff I want to play is insane. I probably could not play through even just the fully supported games before I died, never mind all the other stuff.

It plays way more than that, I play all sorts of “unsupported” games all the time - mostly they run fine or even great (never mind all the emulators lol)

Why would anyone want to play that?

They could definitely fix it, but they don’t, then they go after emulators instead.

You can get a new one for $350 USD now and the hardware is easy to upgrade.

Hell no, get a Steam Deck. Nintendo’s hardware sucks, I regret buying my switch and have had 6 pairs of joycons with drift problems.

Gunfire Reborn, Hades, Vampire Survivor, Cyberpunk 2077, Carrion, Slime Rancher 1 & 2, Stardew Valley, Warframe, Death Stranding, Wreckfest, Orcs Must Die 3, Castle Crashers, ARK: Survival Evolved, and Dead Cells are all over the map genre wise but all have grindy elements that may or may not vibe with you.

Yep, GOG and Steam are pretty much the only ways I play games and I’ve bought a shitload of games from them both over the years.

That’s the thing though: Ultimately, there is no stopping it with restrictive technology.

The only real way to stop piracy is to offer a good service for a good price.

HDCP is so fucking dumb, I couldn’t play Switch on my old projector because of it and it’s absolutely useless in stopping anything from being pirated.
