I would start all containers except one. If everything works that one is the cause of the problem. Keep trying with a different container every time.
I assume this is used for music production?
I didn’t say anything of the kind.
It would perform as well or better than any equivalent Windows PC. I’m not sure what you’re trying to say here.
Yeah duh. A real gaming PC you’d want to hook up to your 4k TV would need to have a GPU, not just an APU. Also, having to install everything yourself kind of defeats the purpose. Do you think the Steam Deck would have been successful if it had shipped with Windows?
You can almost build something like that for this price. Or you can do it if you buy some second hand stuff. But for an OEM building a few million units it would definitely be doable.
A steam machine with a Radeon 7600 class GPU sold for under $500 would be a surefire hit and it would blow the deck out of the water in terms of performance.
Me too. And a Steam Deck. But I’d still buy one in a heartbeat.
Do you have it installed with docker?
“jellyfin-ffmpeg5 deb package” is one bit I’m confused about. Is that part of the docker installation? If not, if I install the deb, can the docker installation use it? Do I have to configure something there?
I’ve been trying to get this to work for weeks now. No dice, so far. Anybody know any useful guide on setting it up for a docker installation? Or does it only work if you install the.deb? I use Mint, BTW. Server is a Dell with a 9th gen i5.
The great thing about the Steam Deck is that it’s basically just a Linux PC. That makes it easy to adapt for any purpose. It also has a good screen and great controls. That would be hard to do for $100. And by military hardware standards, it’s already dirt cheap.
I’ve seen videos where they used it as a drone controller in Ukraine. Truly a marvellous machine.
Some people do this sort of thing for fun. Personally, I’d rather spend my time playing games but that’s why I’m not Hackerman™.
Somebody needs to make that game.
Or just get a divorce. Whichever is cheaper.
Paperless-ngx might be worth a look. Probably overkill if you just want to store mails but great for general purpose document management.
