Hi, I’m Cleo! (he/they) I talk mostly about games and politics. My DMs are always open to chat! :)
This statement is still somehow amazing to me years later. I mean imagine having a PS5 in a handheld shortly after it reaches end of support in a handful of years
Yeah it doesn’t take a genius to hate Nintendo for simple things like artificially limiting amibos stock to make more money
How would one go about downloading and building it from that link?
I can’t believe this. Fuck Nintendo.
Well Vanced was a lot different, they were actually redistributing code from YouTube. They were asking to be sued and they got off really easy.
Whereas here, no code is being used afaik. They don’t even include the keys for the decryption for the console. So the only thing this can do is: decrypt game files once provided keys and then run an emulated graphics pipeline and logic process for said game.
Now I can see an argument about how Yuzu is specifically built to emulate the Switch which is a current product. Which makes this sketchy. But also it’s an emulator. What’s better is that breaking the law is not required to use the emulator. You can get your own rom rips and keys and use them with the emulator which gives it a legal purpose as a 3rd party application.
This is Nintendo just trying to scare them Id bet. Not a zero chance that Yuzu could lose though.
Using the Plex app so I might give Infuse a shot, thanks
Would you mind providing a bit of detail about the Apple TV transcoding thing?
I’m new to the plex server space and I’ve been working with a bit of a similar setup, hosting off of an Nvidia shield but streaming it to an Apple TV.
So far I’ve had some stuttering problems in plex that seems to have existed for awhile with HDR content. What gives?
This is another reason Epic games will lose everything to Valve. Their storefront is useless and is a money loser. But even if it weren’t, valve is moving themselves to be the gaming king of Linux. Where no competitor exists meaningfully. Maybe GoG?
The only reasons (afaik) to have the refresh rate be higher than a locked FPS is to change the timing slightly. But frame times should be the same and the game should look better when the refresh rate is lower. Especially because 25 frames on a 50hz display means 1 duplicate frame per frame as opposed to 2 or so.
I hope this will fix my audio in remote play. The streaming was working fine until the previous update made everything sound like a tin can.
Update: It did not
Steam reviews hate this re-release. Shouldn’t we just be emulating this?
Ah that makes sense, it’s oddly suspicious they’d do this out of the blue. Though I am curious at the arbitration. Can they not include a clause that just says that the forced arbitration can be waived by them when they so choose? I feel like they would make carve outs for these big cases if they could to where they can still arbitrate on smaller cases which costs them less.
(Also updating my post text, thanks!)
